July 5, 2016 – Me and my friends decided to visit the Philippine National Museum since it was announced that the museum’s entrance fee is for FREE. Yes, you read that right. The museum has a free entrance fee starting this July.
The museum is located at P. Burgos Drive, Rizal Park, Manila. It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays starting at 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Some of the things that are prohibited inside the museum are: taking videos and pictures with flash, eating, drinking, and bringing of umbrellas. For more information about the Philippine National Museum, you may visit their website at http://www.nationalmuseum.gov.ph
The National Museum has improved its facilities compared to my last visit 4 years ago. I think they renovated the galleries and repainted the walls for more of a “museum feel.” The following pictures are just snippets inside the museum.
A few more pictures inside the museum can also be seen on my instagram feed: @carleencl
Everyone should try to visit the Philippine National Museum at least once to know more about our history and the Philippines itself. Since it is already free, there’s no reason for not trying to visit this museum after all. 🙂
