Private house, kayaking, karaoke, swimming, fishing, and delivery of food straight to the cabin – what else can you ask for a staycation with your friends? It is the place where you can really bond with your friends or even family and catch up with one another. Experiencing the cabin life away from the busy streets of Manila is just the perfect staycation.
The Cabin Resorts says that it is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life and enjoy the scenery, and manmade lakes. It is located at Baliuag, Bulacan.
The place is located inside a compound which was good since there is security however was surprised that it is literally a cabin home situated inside it. Surprising because I was expecting a resort type place since they named the place “The Cabin Resorts.” However, the place and environment was good.

A month ago, I was able to visit again Subic Bay. There were many changes since my last visit a couple of years ago namely – a new mall, Harbor Point; more hotels and resorts; additional activities inside Subic besides the Zoobic Safari and Ocean Adventure which are Funtastic Park and soon to open, a Water Park beside Ocean Adventure and more.
Staying a few days in Subic, I was able to try their Funtastic Park. The park is just after Zoobic Safari and before Ocean Adventure. There are different activities found inside Funtastic Park such as the Mirror Maze, Trick Art Paintings, Dark Room, and more. Funtastic Park, Subic Bay is owned and operated by SBPhil Corporation, a company duly recognized in the Philippines.
Before the end of 2016, I was able to visit one of the tourist spots in Nueva Ecija which is the Minalungao National Park. The national park is located at Sitio Minalungao, Brgy. Pias, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.
Minalungao is from the term “Mina and “Lungao” meaning “mine of gold in caves” It is considered one of the few remaining natural environments in Central Luzon.
The National Park has a protected land area of 2, 018 hectares and is working together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The access road leading to the park from the town proper is classified as barangay Road. The Road from Barangay Pias to the park is good condition. It is also accessible via Gapan City.
First of all, PAWS or Philippine Animal Welfare Society is a registered non-profit organization that aims to protect and promote of humane treatment of all animals. It has an animal shelter called “PARC” (PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center) and is located at Aurora Blvd., Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. PAWS also has rehabilitation for these animals in the hope of finding them new homes and a second chance at a good life.
Currently, the organization has two of its out-of-shelter programs which are PAWS’ humane education session and the Doctor Dog Program. If you want to know more about PAWS, I’ll have their contact details in the end of this post.
I have left the busy city streets for a few days and this time, I was in Nueva Ecija. Being in a province was truly relaxing and a break from all the crowded places in Manila. Plus, the green scenery did a great help in having that calm, relaxing feeling. Just visiting a province can be a way of destressing. (more…)
